Introduction to Digital Journalism

Former Program Director Eric Maxen utilized his experience as a photojournalist and led two workshop in digital journalism. Students learned how to use light and composition to create photographs that convey meaning and were given daily exercises that allowed them to practice this. They were also exposed to the work of dozens of the world’s leading photojournalists.  Ultimately, students cultivated, shot and edited their own stories.
