Student Profile: Helen Jones interview by Carrie Weikel

Student Profile: Helen Jones

CW: What made you become a part of the In-Sight Program?
HJ: My uncle, Bob George, told me about In-Sight when I first became interested in photo. I didn't take a class right away, but a few years after, a friend and I took a class. I had so much fun I took one every semester until I left for college.

CW: What is your favorite thing about photography?
HJ: That’s difficult to say. Hmmm. When I walk down the street with a camera I notice things that I normally would not. That is what I like, it makes me more aware of things around me.

CW: What year are you in school and what do you enjoy studying?
HJ: I am going into my sophomore year at Mass Art and my major is photo. In addition to photo, I also enjoyed my visual language class in school, and I ended up working a lot with video.

CW:
What are your plans after school?
HJ: I really have no idea yet. I would like to work with photography, but I am not sure of much more than that.
