Fall/Winter at In-Sight:
7th Annual Silent Auction, New Classes
| In-Sight began the fall session of our 14th year with
a flourish. At the start of our annual auction, we proudly
announced a unique quality to our current fundraising: due
to a generous $10,000 matching challenge grant for scholarship
funds from the Thomas Thompson Trust, every dollar raised
over the next two years will count as two dollars in support
of In-Sight’s ongoing efforts to offer photography classes
to all youth. This benefit extends beyond our Silent Auction
& Exhibit to any personal or business donation made to In-Sight,
so your support of the creativity of local youth will now
mean more than ever!

As it has for the past six years, In-Sight’s fall
began with our 7th Annual Silent Auction and Exhibit, held next
door to us at the Vermont Center for Photography at 49 Flat St,
featuring prints from such local favorites as Chris Triebert, Bob
George, Lynne Weinstein, John Willis, Evie Lovett, Eric Slayton,
Meridel Rubenstein, and Paul Taylor, as well as many other nationally
and internationally renowned photographers such as the Starn twins.
The Auction ran for the month of October, bringing in over $9,000
for our program. In-Sight wishes to thank the Crosby and Dunham-Mason
Foundation for underwriting the Auction, and Light Impressions,
Inc for their donation of print bags.
2006 looks set to be an exciting year as we prepare to start up
the Spring Session. Students can register for Spring Classes at
In-Sight during our Open House on Sunday, January 29 from 1-3 PM.
Please note that schedules for our Spring Session are not available
at this time. We will be updating our website with class details
as we are able to provide more information. As always, we will be
offering Introduction to B&W Photography and Intermediate/Advanced
Photography. This spring, we are launching two new classes: a Parent/
Child class, and a class for teens coping with loss. In addition,
we plan to offer a class in digital photography and Photoshop, and
we will be running our class at the Brattleboro Retreat again this
spring.
For more information, please call 251-9960 or e-mail tipp@sover.net.
And, of course, please stop by when you are in the area!
